Beyond the shimmering lights and bustling casinos of Las Vegas, are fables as old as the land itself, inspiring a recipe of exotic botanicals. It is in this rugged terrain where the strangest of plant life exists - exotic succulents with unexpected flavour profiles.
Prickly pear cactus and aloe lend our Distiller's Edition 2024 an unusual yet eccentric fragrant touch, while distilled, signature Nevada bourbon cubes provide for a distinct woody finish. Only 2.345 bottles were crafted with this recipe that embodies the soul of Nevada.
Where cactus meets bourbon
This year, we were drawn to the wild west in search of something truly unique, beyond the borders of Europe. Fables, myths and stories is what drives us to a destination like Nevada, a place long steeped in urban myths as well as curious stories of the desert. From these stories we draw inspiration for new recipes, incorporating age old culinary practices with strange, unique, and singular botanicals of the land.
Each bottle is a celebration of our unwavering pursuit of perfection.
This year, we were captivated by Las Vegas' urban myths and the ancient stories of its surrounding desert landscapes.
HERO BOTANICALS 2024
OPUNTIA
The vibrant Opuntia, also known as the Prickly Pear Cactus, adds a striking duality to our gin distillate. Its succulent fruit carries a subtly sweet, melon-like flavour with gentle hints of berry, while its leaves (Nopales) brings a faintly tart, earthy undertone.
ALOE
Aloe, long celebrated for its cooling and soothing qualities, brings a refined herbal freshness to our gin. Its delicate, slightly bitter notes recall cucumber and citrus zest, adding a crisp, clean accent that lifts and balances the more robust botanicals.
BOURBON
The use of Bourbon cask imparts a rich, oaky depth that layers complexity onto the gin. This warm, woody character melds harmoniously with the vibrant botanicals, adding a sophisticated, aged dimension that enhances both structure and finish.
Gin of the desert
